Construction in a densely populated city centre comes with a different set of challenges. There is limited space, the surrounding area remains active and reducing the impact of construction activities on the immediate environment becomes an important part of the project.
For Stebru's construction project in central Rotterdam, CBOX supplied and positioned shipping containers to create a substantial temporary container noise barrier around the site.

The containers were carefully positioned and stacked to form a solid separation between the construction activities and the surrounding urban environment. Instead of serving their traditional purpose of transport or storage, the shipping containers became part of the site's temporary infrastructure.

Flexible Container Wall for Changing Site Conditions
The project is a strong example of how standard containers can take on a completely different function. Their robust steel construction, modular dimensions and ability to be positioned and stacked make them particularly versatile for large temporary site solutions.
Once the construction phase no longer requires the barrier, the containers can be removed and used again elsewhere. This makes a container wall a flexible solution for projects where site conditions and requirements change as construction progresses.
