A shipping container provides a strong, weather-resistant and vandal-resistant base for a youth meeting place. A large side opening creates an accessible, sheltered space, while fixed benches and a table provide a practical place for young people to meet.
Customised to suit the location
Every neighbourhood and public space is different, so a JOP container does not have to follow one standard configuration. The container can be modified according to the municipality's requirements and the intended location.
The size and position of the opening, seating, tables, colour and other features can all be adapted to create a solution that fits its surroundings and intended use. It is another example of how the robust structure of a standard shipping container can be given an entirely different purpose: a durable, practical and recognisable meeting place for young people in public space.
